For more than a century, Caltech has marshaled the resources of research and education to fuel knowledge and innovation that benefit humanity. We believe that science lends essential perspective to the most pressing challenges and complex questions society faces.
However, we also recognize that in an era of mass information, controversy and confusion often surround scientific debate. It can be difficult to discern fact from misrepresentation and to distinguish positions that are supported by scientific evidence from those that require further investigation.
Through the Caltech Science Exchange, the Institute is dedicated to informing public conversation by providing clear explanations, credible answers, and reliable commentary on the scientific issues that affect our world and our lives.
